About Us

Empowering Educators, Inspiring Students

We started Educate Tejas because we saw a need for professional learning that truly connects with the realities of today’s classrooms. Our goal is to support teachers and administrators with workshops and consulting that are practical, culturally responsive, and grounded in real classroom experience. Everything we do is designed to help educators strengthen instruction, engage students more deeply, and build lasting confidence in their practice.

Our Story

Educate Tejas began with a shared belief that teaching is most powerful when it is both culturally responsive and grounded in real classroom practice. Chief Learning Ally Matthew Cafiero has taught across public schools, charters, and higher education, from AP English and IB Theory of Knowledge to Political Science and Humanities at Paul Quinn College. His work has always centred on bridging disciplines and helping students see connections between knowledge, culture, and lived experience.

Learning Ally Lindsey Hranitzky brings a deep background in the sciences, from building innovative forensics programs and sponsoring STEM clubs to conducting biomedical research at UT Southwestern. Both of us have spent our careers seeing first-hand how engaged teaching can transform students’ confidence and future paths.

Educate Tejas was created to bring those experiences directly to schools and districts across Texas. We design workshops and consulting that meet teachers and administrators where they are—practical, engaging, and immediately applicable in the classroom. Whether it’s helping students tackle complex ideas through interdisciplinary strategies, preparing them for STEM opportunities, or supporting educators with professional growth rooted in equity, our mission is the same: to strengthen instruction and inspire curiosity. We are proud to partner with educators who want to make learning both rigorous and relevant for every student.
